Gardens are often flagging at this time of year but exotic planting is coming to it's peak. Steve's talk explores both the hardy and tender exotic flowers. There will an opportunity to buy plants grown at his, "The No Name Nursery.'

Rachael Castle of Swallowfields Nursery, who specialises in unusual plants, will talk to us about primula auriculas. These are very simple but reliable plants which appear year after year in the garden. product or service you'd like to show.

Nigel is a Garden Designer who specialises in the use of water within the garden. His talk and captivating illustrations cover large gardens with vast lakes to the more compact gardens allowing only a small area of water. He also talks and advises on aquatic plants and their cultivation.

A beautiful peaceful 3-acre garden in Charing near Ashford. We travel by minibus to the garden, where coffee and cake awaits us. After a leisurely walk around the garden, we board the minibus and onto the nearby Rose and Crown for a delicious lunch.

What do judges look for when judging our floral arrangements? 

When Susan judge’s arrangements for a society she bases her judgements on the show schedule. Are the arrangements within the correct size or do they meet with the brief, and have a good interpretation of the heading.

Caroline is a popular speaker and adds her humour with a serious subject as health. She talks about plants found in our gardens and in the wild that can be used to improve our health. Caroline looks at the history and their uses some may surprise you.
