Jen is from Blooming Green and based at Loddington Farm. They are a sustainable, no dig flower business. Her talk is an informative, general overview of their flower business.
They are open to visitors and give horticultural tours.

Wednesday 3rd June
The Gardens are an expression of everything Carol Bruce holds dear about the natural world. With a rose garden that can be walked through, a yellow and pastels gardens, double mirrored borders and a vegetable area, we have lots to admire.
This will work up an appetite for lunch at a local hostelry. Details to follow.

Edward is a popular and experienced speaker, and we always enjoy his talks. Tonight, Edward in his usual humorous way will be describing how to blend roses of all kinds into the mixed border and how to create complimentary planting.

This will be a talk about the UK’s largest lavender family run farm in Shoreham. In the summer months their fields burst into colour. This is harvested and pure lavender oil extracted. They are open to visitors. Plants for sale.

Nigel is a Garden Designer who specialises in the use of water within the garden. His talk and captivating illustrations cover large gardens with vast lakes to the more compact gardens allowing only a small area of water. He also talks and advises on aquatic plants and their cultivation.

A beautiful peaceful 3-acre garden in Charing near Ashford. We travel by minibus to the garden, where coffee and cake awaits us. After a leisurely walk around the garden, we board the minibus and onto the nearby Rose and Crown for a delicious lunch.

What do judges look for when judging our floral arrangements?
When Susan judge’s arrangements for a society she bases her judgements on the show schedule. Are the arrangements within the correct size or do they meet with the brief, and have a good interpretation of the heading.
